Eager to explore more, I ventured to the Russian River Valley and found two more incredible wineries: Dry Creek Vineyard and Jordan Vineyard & Winery. Sharing my wine experiences with friends and family through pictures was great, but I wanted them to taste the magic too. So, I began hosting monthly wine tastings at home, featuring a variety of Pinot Noirs, Cabernet Sauvignons, and Rieslings. During one of these gatherings, a sommelier friend pointed out that some of the wines I received were exceptional, while others were just average. He explained how weather variations affect the taste of wine from year to year, even from the same winery. This revelation led me to research and test this idea, confirming that not all wine clubs are created equal. I realized that larger, well-known wine clubs like the Wall Street Journal Wine Club and the California Wine Club have a distinct advantage over smaller, estate-run clubs. Their wine tasting professionals scour the globe, from California to Australia, Italy to France, Oregon to Washington, seeking out the best wines each year. This ensures that their members consistently receive top-quality selections. Armed with this knowledge, I made the switch to the big leagues, canceling my subscriptions to smaller wineries and joining the top 10 best wine clubs. I transformed WineClubs.net into a platform where I could share my experiences and help others navigate the world of wine clubs. My mission is to provide exceptional advice and knowledge, ensuring that everyone can choose the best wine club for their tastes and preferences.
